Marketplace: Handwork of India is a non-profit organization with offices in Evanston, Illinois and Bombay, India which markets hand printed and embroidered Indian textiles to U.S.consumers and empowers women in the slums of Bombay at the same time. Today, there are 480 artisans, about 90% of whom are women.
