ACOOPRAC
ACOOPRAC, an acronym for Asociacion Cooperativa de Produccion Artesanal, was formerly known as the "El Nuevo Despertar" (New Awakenings) Cooperative. ACOOPRAC represents a new beginning for refugees returning to El Salvador after years in exile during the 12-year Salvadoran civil war in the 1980's. Today's membership includes 146 artisans who are members of 12 artisan workshops.
