IWASSRU
In southern Sudan, the largest country in Africa, a civil war has been raging for 18 years. Over 2,000,000 lives have been lost and millions of refugees have fled the country, many to refugee camps in neighboring Uganda. The goal of IWASSRU, the International Widows Association of South Sudanese Refugees in Uganda, is to provide support for the orphans, widows, and disabled victims of the war who are living in refugee camps in northern Uganda.
