PREDA Fair Trade

PREDA, an acronym for People's Recovery, Empowerment and Development Assistance Foundation, Inc., was established in 1973 to rescue young people caught in the web of drug dependency and prostitution near the U.S. Subic Bay Naval base in Olangapo City. Founded by Father Shay Cullen, an Irish Columban missionary priest, the program sought funding to provide help in recovery and skills training, thus addressing the root causes of poverty.
